For all of us, freelancers and members of organizations alike, this is our time! We, who learn by ourselves, try, fail, win and always go forward, can achieve our goals! And we are not alone. A lot of people around us are trying just as hard.
When we are here, on the shores of the internet ocean, knowing that somebody else, on the next pier, is also getting ready for her journey, we feel empowered. When we return to land to rest and relax, other friendly souls are waiting to share experiences and knowledge. And when we’re fortunate, they help us get back out on the water and wave us good luck. That is what this event is all about.
On July 15th, 2018, both current and future WordPress users are welcomed to a small island of only 100 inhabitants to share their unique experiences. Content creators, writers, photographers, artists, designers, online retailers, thinkers, managers, and developers will gather and commune to share their strengths that we all may rise to the challenges tomorrow brings us.
This WordCamp will be the first of its kind held in Japan outside a major city. Everyone, especially anyone living nearby, is graciously invited to experience the true power of the WordPress community, and we of course encourage our friends from beyond the area to share and give all you have.
Open Source, Open Sky.
There will be tents, a barbecue, campfires, and a shared breakfast in the shade of the local lighthouse, looking out on the shimmering waters of the Setouchi Inland Sea…
