WordCamp 男木島 2018 の実行委員長の西川伸一です。
WordCamp Ogijima 2018 にご参加いただいたみなさま、ありがとうございました。また、すばらしいコンテンツを届けてくれたスピーカーのみなさん、資金面からサポートをしてくれたスポンサーの各社さま、ありがとうございました。
この記事では、準備の段階から実行委員会がどのようなことを考えて動いてきたのか、そのつもりや実際を絡めつつ、今後、他の地域でのWordCamp開催の参考になることを願いつつ、おもしろい読み物になるかもしれないし、なによりも、私が誇りに思っている実行委員会チームへの讃歌になるといいな、という気もちで、舞台裏の様子をまとめておきたいと思います。ちょっと長いのですが、舞台裏の様子と思って楽しく読んでください。

There will be reception set at the ferry port. Please bring the conference ticket registration e-mail (printed out), or show it to the staff on mobile/pc screen.

We chartered two ferries that departs at 9:00 and 10:30, and they are free to get onboard.There are non-chartered regular service ferries that leave Takamatsu on 8:00 and 10:00, as well, but they will be very crowded with tourists, and they cost 510 yen one-way. For those who come with the 8:00 or 10:00 non-chartered ferries and don’t go through the reception at Takamatsu port, we have another reception at the venue (school gym) to give you swags etc.
Ogijima island is far and you need to think it as an extra interesting travel to get here. In this post, I’ll show you several transportation choices from Tokyo and Osaka to the ferry port, where we welcome you.
We have two international airports in Tokyo, Haneda and Narita. Both have the connection flight to Takamatsu airport. It might be much easier and cheaper for you to search for your flight from your city to Takamatsu, rather than buying separate tickets.
Once you arrive at the Takamatsu airport, there are buses that goes straight to JR Takamatsu station.
There is no domestic flights that goes to Takamatsu. We recommend you three options to come to Takamatsu; bullet trains, bus, and ferry.
Take three different trains. It will take around 3.5 hours with the cost of around 10k yen.
There are two buses you can choose from.
There’s a ferry called Jumbo Ferry that departs form Kobe port and arrives at Takamatsu port. https://ferry.co.jp/pdf/jumbo-ferry-guide-book.pdf
To get to the Kobe port from KIX, there’s a bus from Kansai Kuko Daiichi Terminal station to Sannomiya Bus terminal, which is 20 minutes walk away to the port.
Ferry port for Ogijima is around 10minutes walk from JR Takamatsu Station. Be sure to arrive with some spare time, since the ferry will depart at the exact time (9:00 and 10:30 for charter ferry) and there will be reception at the port for WordCamp.

5月20日正午に受付を開始しましたが、午後にはキャンプ泊、夜にはカンファレンスのチケット、翌朝にはTシャツ付き、学生チケット、22日にBBQ・宿泊なしチケットが売り切れてしまいました。参加登録をしていただいた方、ありがとうございます！当日お会いしましょう！
現在、中学生以下のお子さま用チケットに残りがあります。懇親会は、高松懇親会チケットが残っています。
子どもたちのチケットですが、もともと一時預かりを利用する子どものチケットと、一時預かりはしない子どものチケットがありました。一般チケット・Tシャツチケット・学生チケットが完売したため、お子さまの一時預かりチケットを一旦締め切っております。現状ご自身のチケットを確保済みの保護者の方で相談されたい方は個別にご連絡ください。また6月5日のチケット追加時にはお子さまの一時預かりチケットも残数公開予定です。
この投稿では、チケットの増枠やその時期についてお伝えいたし、新しい情報があれば随時更新していきます。

増枠の枚数を決定いたしました。
増枠のために、参加者の属性（お子さんの多さなど）を整理したり、当日オペレーションの再考、予算のレビューを行いますので、しばらく時間を頂きます。
The confenrence and after-party registration started at noon 20th, May. Conference tickets, General Admission with a T-shirt ticket, Students ticket, real-camping tickets and BBQ (no lodging) are sold out. We still have kids conference tickets and Takamatsu After-Party tickets left a few.

As for the kids’ tickets, we have two tickets. One is for those who need childcare professionals, another for who doesn’t. Now that we don’t have any tickets for adults, childcare tickets are suspended. We’ll reopen the childcare tickets when we have additional tickets for adults. In case the parent(s) already have their own tickets and want to register for the childcare, please contact us.
2018/05/31 added: We now know how many tickets we can add.
To add tickets, we need some time to see the number of kids and review our operation and budget. Thank you for your understanding.

BBQ and camping will be held right after the conference at Ogijima Camping Site, which is a 30 minutes walk from the conference venue. In this post, I’ll describe what we do, the risks and hedges, and answer common questions on it.
As you have more options than other WordCamps, you need to choose the ticket carefully. We wanted to keep it simple, but this complex options are what you get. Sorry!
